Happy Monday!

Heres the chapter, enjoy.

It had been about one month since I started hunting.

My going to Dragon Forest was at a steady pace of once every three, four days.

Im going there that many times, and I was able to harvest that many fruits, medicinal plants, mushrooms, and potatoes.

For hunting, I had made pitfalls a little deeper into the forest as well, and every time, I wanted to hunt a bird, but even now, there was nothing to show for it….

There was good news as well.

The potatoes that we planted could already be harvested.

The taste was not as good as the ones that were grown naturally, but it was more delicious than the ones bought in town, and we could harvest as much as we wanted.

Even though it had only been two months since we planted them, they grew too quickly.

As expected, was it a good thing to pour mana into them every day

Gradually, the garden became larger, and it was a lot of work to pour mana into it, but lets do our best a little while longer.

Speaking of mana, every day, I poured my mana into Pii-chan as well.

I dont know if it was because of that, but it had gotten so big that it was hard to carry it in my arms.

Before I realized it, its level had also risen to level 3.

Did monsters levels rise because of mana

Pii-chan had begun to fly a little, sooner or later, it would be able to fly without any trouble.

When that time came, should I have it help me hunt in the forest

Various things happened and today, I headed towards Dragon Forest to harvest materials.

As usual, I picked medicinal plants, mushrooms, potatoes, and fruits, and when I moved from one place to another, there was a change near the fruit free on my third stop.

I could see the pitfall.

Un, originally, there was a mark, so I knew where the pitfall was, but that was not the case and what covered () the pitfall to conceal it was gone.

In other words, that meant that something fell into the pitfall, or it fell in!!

I quickly used mana detection.

Certainly, there was a response!! However, it was so weak I wouldnt have noticed it if I hadnt used it on the hole.

I didnt know what it was, so I carefully approached it, and slowly peeked inside the hole.

Inside was a butt….

The butt with a tail attached was cute, but….

When I examined it using Appraisal, it seems the true identity of that butt was a monster known as a Horned Rabbit.

It was at level 1, so it might be a child as well.

Its butt was small too.

However, why was this Horned Rabbit here like this If it was this small, it would easily be able to jump out of the hole though….

As I was thinking this, I looked down into the hole.

And then, I realized it.

「Aah! Its horn was stuck in the ground and it couldnt move!!」

Just as its named, a Horned Rabbit had a horn.

It seems that the entire horn was stuck in the bottom of the hole and it could not move.

And, it was probably weak because it was stuck upside down for a long period of time.

Now the question was, what do I do with this Horned Rabbit.

Originally, I had come to get food for Pii-chan, and it was also the first prey that I had caught.

It would be the correct choice to drain the blood and then bring it back to the orphanage, but if I killed such a small child and brought it back, the children at the orphanage would cry….

No longer worrying about it, I decided to let the Horned Rabbit go.

I caught and released my first prey.

Using earth magic, I elevated the ground and it came out of the hole.

From what I could see, the horn was stuck in the earth.

It was weak and had fainted, so I gently pulled it out.

While I was at it, I also casted recovery magic on it.

Of course, I poured in plenty of mana into its demon nucleus (core).

After that, I started harvesting things nearby.

I had laid the Horned Rabbit down near the hole and collected medicinal herbs instead of the prey.

If I left it like that and it was attacked by something, I would feel guilty, so I planned to stick around until it woke up.

After I finished picking the things I needed, the Horned Rabbit slowly woke up.

「Kyu, kyui!」

Having woken up, the Horned Rabbit was looking around.

And then, perhaps it had noticed something as it broke into a run.

Towards me.

I was flustered and avoided it, but the Horned Rabbit chased after me once again.

I had dodged it several times, but it seems that the Horned Rabbit was not going to attack.

It had originally been weak, so the Horned Rabbit fell down.

I slowly approached it, and it rubbed against my leg.

Un, this had happened before.

I checked my status.

[Familiar: Horned Rabbit] had been added.
